How Can CBD Oil Help With Itching?

We all have annoying itches at some point or another, and CAASI has a new natural product that helps reduce itching and heal cuts and scrapes quicker! You’ve been there. You feel that first tingle of an itch and you try to keep your hands off it, but the desire to make it go away feels impossible to ignore. You hope that just one scratch will make it stop… but it doesn’t.  The more you scratch, the more irritated it becomes. You’re lucky if you don’t break the skin or develop a deeper infection. It can be so irritating and painful that it can disrupt sleep for many people, or make it hard to focus during the day.

What are the conditions that cause skin to itch?

Psoriasis and eczema are two closely related conditions. Over thirty million people worldwide suffer from either psoriasis or eczema. Scientists don’t know what the definitive cause is, but they are certain that it is related to immune dysfunction in the system that causes inflammation.

Cuts and scrapes can cause a painful itching sensation. Cuts and scrapes need to be cleaned right away so developing an infection is avoided. When they start to heal, they form a scab that pulls the skin and the skin begins to regenerate cells, causing it to itch.

Dry skin is generally a result of dehydration or an underlying condition. New skin growth can also cause itchiness. CAASI also has a soothing body lotion that can be used to relax sore muscles and it’s also an excellent natural moisturizer that can help keep the skin hydrated and moisturized.

Rashes can be caused by many things but what causes them to itch is histamine or infection so an inflammatory response is happening as a result.

Mosquito bites swell into a welt that you can see, and itches like crazy. These are particularly itchy because the saliva that the mosquito leaves irritates the bite, combined with the body releasing histamine, a chemical that the body produces to help the healing process of a bite or wound.

What is histamine? According to Healthline.com, “During the wound-healing process, these nerves signal the spinal cord that skin is being stimulated. The brain perceives those signals as itchy. These nerves are also sensitive to chemicals, such as histamine, which the body releases in response to an injury.” What all of these conditions have in common is the release of histamine combined with inflammation.

Why we worked with a formulator to develop this product.

Our founder recently had an annual dermatology appointment and was told that the doctor tried repeatedly to source a natural product that would calm itchiness predominantly for patients with scalp eczema and psoriasis, that they could leave-in, wouldn’t cause an offensive smell or leave the hair flat and oily. We conducted studies and after talking to people that have suffered from these conditions, our Scalp & Skin Soother leave-in tonic was developed and launched.

What’s in the CAASI Scalp & Skin Soother, and how do the ingredients help with itching?

Our ingredients are all natural. You may see similar products on the market, but most have added chemicals that probably aren’t so great for you in the long term. These are the list of ingredients and what they do:

Full Spectrum Hemp CBD is anti-inflammatory and antibacterial.

Aloe Juice, for cooling and soothing.

Chamomile is anti-inflammatory, and good for soothing itches.

Neem is a calming antiparasitic and antibacterial ingredient.

Rosemary promotes hair growth and stimulates pores for more oxygen circulation.

Yarrow for detoxing and soothing.

Magnesium because psoriasis inflamed skin is magnesium deficient we reintroduce magnesium by adding it to our formula.

Tamanu is an antioxidant and antibacterial to help heal scars and wounds.

Skin cell membranes need time to adapt. When you apply this CBD scalp and skin treatment you are retraining the skin cells to adapt and rebalance.

How do I use CBD on my scalp?

  1. Wash your hair as usual.
  2. Towel dry your hair until it is just slightly damp.
  3. Vigorously shake the bottle, then apply solution to the scalp covering the entire scalp.
  4. Massage into your scalp.
  5. Dry or style as normal.

Can I put CBD on my scalp?

Absolutely! This is what our CBD scalp & skin tonic was designed for! Topicals are not absorbed into the bloodstream and this is a healing formula that will help reduce inflammation and sooth your scalp or skin. We use more than CBD in our emulsion. Our tonic has a combination of anti-inflammatory and antibacterial herbaceous ingredients (mentioned above) that work in harmony to calm down the red and irritating itch.

The benefits of our Scalp & Skin Soother, Leave-in Tonic:
